eddy-pump-hydraulic-power-units

We have a 25-year history of dredging and building highly engineered hydraulic powered dredging solutions. This includes building custom HPU’s for the specific projects we managed. If you are looking for USA built, high quality with proven results then call us about your Hydraulic Power project.

VFD - Variable Frequency Device
Adding a variable frequency drive (VFD) to your pump can change it from a pump that operates at one speed (single flow rate) to a pump that can operate at variable speeds (range of flow rates) without the use of a gearbox or switching to a different electric motor.
EZ Connect Floats

We offer modular, one-size-fits-all pipe and hose floats. This means they can be reused for different-sized pipes. They are also quicker to install with easy-to-connect straps and stainless-steel ratchets. Our floats are also environmentally friendly when they are not filled with foam. We can provide both air and foam-filled options.

HPU - Hydraulic Power Unit - Learn More

Doppler slurry flow meters measure flow from outside a rigid pipeline with a clamp-on sensor. This allows for pump operators to maintain critical line velocity, preventing costly pipeline clogs.

hawk-rtk-gps-positioning-system

can provide custom dredge positioning and monitoring systems for your barge or excavator mounted dredging system as well as custom solutions for real time monitoring of the dredge’s position beneath the water surface.

Excavator Dredge Accessories

long-reach-kit-amphibious

Long Reach Extended Arm and Boom kit designed for 5 to 130-ton excavators. It can increase the reach of your excavator up to 2x.  Each kit comes pre-Plumbed hydraulic and slurry hose brackets; saves time and gets the project started sooner.

amphibious dredging equipment

Amphibious Excavators are perfect for hard to reach marsh, swamp and shallow water dredging projects. Pontoon undercarriages also called amphibious undercarriage make this possible. Change out the factory excavator undercarriage with a floating amphibious undercarriage and dredge further.

Cutterhead Dredge Attachment

Replace teeth as they wear, or buy a cutterhead for your custom application. See optional dredge cutter heads.

Jetting Ring Dredge Attachment

Replace the cutter with a water jetting ring for breakup or liquefication of dry material. Also for poly liner applications.

The self-cleaning head attachment is ideal for effectively pumping highly viscous mud or sludge at a continuous production rate.

The liner-safe wheels allow for dredging operations in areas with poly or concrete-lined pits, canals, or other sensitive surfaces.

For fine slurry, use the Auger Head to dredge a wider footprint.

What is pump dredging?
Pump dredging, also known as hydraulic dredging, is a method of removing sediment, debris, and other materials from bodies of water using specialized pumps. These pumps create a suction force to extract the material from the waterbed, which is then transported via pipelines to a designated location.

What is dredging equipment in construction?
Dredging equipment in construction refers to machinery and tools specifically designed for excavation, sediment removal, and material transportation in aquatic environments. This equipment includes dredge pumps, dredge hoses, control systems, and other ancillary products essential for effective dredging operations.

What tool is used for dredging?
The primary tool used for dredging is a dredge pump. Dredge pumps are specialized hydraulic pumps capable of creating suction and transporting large volumes of material, such as sand, silt, and sludge, from the bottom of water bodies to the surface or to a designated discharge location.

What is dredging material?
Dredging material refers to the mixture of sediment, sand, silt, clay, organic matter, and other debris that is excavated and removed from the bottom of water bodies during dredging operations. This material may vary in composition depending on the location and purpose of the dredging project.

What are the basics of dredging?
The basics of dredging involve excavating, removing, and transporting sediment and debris from the bottom of water bodies using specialized equipment such as dredge pumps, suction hoses, and pipelines. Dredging operations are typically conducted to maintain waterway depths, improve navigation, control erosion, and support construction projects.

What is the principle of a dredger?
The principle of a dredger revolves around using hydraulic suction or mechanical excavation to loosen and remove sediment, debris, and other materials from the bottom of water bodies. Dredgers utilize specialized equipment and techniques to create a dredge pump suction force, which lifts the material to the surface for transportation and disposal.

What is hydraulic dredging?
Hydraulic dredging is a dredging method that utilizes hydraulic pumps to create suction and extract sediment, sand, silt, and other materials from the bottom of water bodies. The dredged material is then transported via pipelines to a designated disposal site or reclamation area. Hydraulic dredging is known for its efficiency, flexibility, and minimal environmental impact compared to traditional mechanical dredging methods.
