Amphibious Excavator - Pontoon Undercarriage
Combine an Amphibious Excavator Undercarriage with an Excavator Mounted Dredge Pump Attachment to make a real Super Dredger. This is much more cost effective VS over traditional dredges.
Amphibious Excavators are perfect for hard to reach marsh, swamp and shallow water dredging projects. Pontoon undercarriages also called amphibious undercarriage make this possible.
Swap the factory excavator undercarriage with a floating amphibious undercarriage and go further. Next, add the EDDY Pump dredge pump attachment to create a mobile swamp dredger. This powerful combination of equipment is mobile, less expensive to run and creates more ROI for your project.
The Excavator Dredge Pump Attachment. This state of the art dredging system is unique to the market. It improves the process for high solids pumping while using the hydraulic power of your existing excavator. The EDDY Pump Excavator Attachment easily pins into your existing bucket linkage and is powered off of the excavators’ auxiliary hydraulics. OR use an HPU for 8-10 inch models.
For large rocks and long distances, an HPU (Hydraulic Power Unit) is highly recommended for max production. Call for details.
Ideal Uses: Marsh or swamp dredging, Hard to Reach Mine Tailings Ponds, Slurry Ponds, Liner Safe Dredging, Heavy Construction Sites and more.
Agitation Options: Cutterhead (pictured) OR a high-pressure water jetting rings available depending on the dredging application.
All EDDY Pump dredges are powered by our field-proven, USA Built, industrial slurry pumps.
The core of this design is the patented EDDY Pump technology. The design redefines the pumping industry by being the only pump that utilizes the principles of a tornado to create a synchronized eddy current. Learn more about the pump technology here.

EDDY Pump is working with several providers to offer swamp buggy excavator conversions and long boom options that are pre-plumbed for use with our Excavator Dredge Pump Attachments.
When working in swamps, marshes and other wet environments, nothing beats the versatility of the amphibious undercarriage for your excavator.
Not only will these modifications save you on project costs, but will also help to increase total production in most applications. Combined with the EDDY Pump Excavator Attachment, you can turn your excavator into an agile dredging powerhouse, capable of handling any environment and material you put in front of it.
Amphibious Swamp Buggy Conversion – Pontoon undercarriages
Pontoon undercarriages replace the OEM factory tracks. The excavator tracks are converted to an amphibious undercarriage for use in marshy areas and flooded swamp area. With a long reach boom, this system is unmatched in productivity.
Common sense suggests that floating excavators are only useful in the South around the vast wetlands/swamp, but there are actually many scenarios which could effectively employ the use of amphibious machines.
Projects around ocean shores, river beds, and recent floods are all great areas to use a marsh buggy to save on costs. Semi-aquatic equipment can efficiently perform in a wide array of applications including flood and disaster recovery efforts, dredging, environmental remediation, and various construction projects such as laying pipelines, levees, or highways.
Dredge Attachment and Long Boom Package
The benefits of this combo system are reduced setup time because the boom is pre-plumbed for the discharge hoses, saving custom modification time for the client. This is a plug and pump system to that attaches to your excavator and gets your project started sooner VS doing your own hose plumbing.
Plus, the long boom greatly extends your production zone. Especially convenient in the situation when the spuds are engaged, less resetting of the excavator position.

Wireless Acoustic Slurry Flow Meter
A state of the art flow meter that can be installed in less than an hour to any size hose or pipe from 1-inch to 24-inch and measures the flow of slurry in realtime on an easily mounted digital display.
The optional SMART upgrade connects your pump or dredge equipment to the web and internal SCADA system. This allows for real-time monitoring of the unit after startup which helps prevent damage, downtime and ensure longer pump life. All of this saves money for your project.
Active monitoring allows for the operator to have more precise control over material throughput and ensuring maximum return on investment (ROI) on the EDDY Pump dredge equipment you own.
